I would like to thank the parents for the most generous gift I received for my retirement. I was overwhelmed!
At the mass that evening I loved the hymns which were beautifully sung by your children. I was delighted that the choir sung my favourite hymn, Our Lady of Knock, which sent shivers through me.
Thank you for putting on a lovely spread of tray bakes and buns which my son had his fair share of.
I had a lovely evening and it all went so quickly. I’m just sorry I never got round to speaking to all of you. Hopefully I’m forgiven.
As I said in my speech I hope my replacement has the same wonderful experience teaching at St. Malachy’s as I have had.
And now I start my next journey of life and wish you all well.
