Ballymoyer wins the Best Kept Primary School 2018!
It has been a very successful year for St Malachy’s Primary School, Ballymoyer. The school won the Best Kept School’s Competition in the Southern Area last Tuesday and received a top 5 placing out of 150 entries in the ‘Best of the Best’ Category. The school erected a new polytunnel last year to facilitate their Eco-School’s work and pupils now grow flowers and vegetables from seed as part of their topic work in the ‘World Around Us’ Curriculum area.
Mr Toner, the school’s principal commented that, “Our success in this year’s Tidy School’s Competition will be warmly welcomed by our whole school community and we are thankful to the Northern Ireland Amenity Council for such recognition.”
