Dear Parents,
I wish to draw your attention to the attached letter from the Public Health Authority which provides advice about dealing with Close Contacts of Positive Covid Cases. There are useful links which you can click on within the letter to help you stay informed.
- If a member of your household tests positive, please follow the advice contained within the letter attached.
- Take a PCR test on Day 2 and Day 8 and follow the advice given by the Public Health Authority.
- Household members who have had close contact with a positive case who are untested should not be sent to school, especially if they have symptoms eg. High Temperature, Cough or Loss of Taste/Smell.
LATERAL FLOW TESTS ARE USEFUL FOR DETECTING ASYMPTOMATIC CASES - BUT IF YOUR CHILD HAS BEEN IN CLOSE CONTACT WITH A POSITIVE CASE, HE OR SHE NEEDS A PCR TEST ON DAY 2 AND DAY 8 AND SHOULD ONLY RETURN TO SCHOOL AFTER A NEGATIVE RESULT.
