Covid Response
Dear Parents
If your child has a cough, temperature or loss of taste and smell then Please refer to the flowchart attached to this message before sending your child to school.
If your child has been in contact with a positive case then you must get them tested using a PCR test. I would ask that when the result of this is known that you please email a screenshot of it to jtoner775@c2kni.net
If your child displays a persistent cough in the classroom you will be asked to collect him/her and seek a PCR test.
Please also remember that if your child has been a close contact of a positive case he/she must complete a second PCR test on day 8. The school will also need confirmation of the result of this.
It is vital that we work together to prevent Covid outbreaks and protect the vulnerable members of our school community. Sending a child to school who has an emerging cough or other symptoms or without PCR testing will inevitably cause high rates of absence and pose serious risks to other pupils, parents and grandparents who are clinically vulnerable or unvaccinated.
I greatly appreciate your support in managing the health and safety of our school.
