Please see attached a letter from the Education Minister in relation to managing covid cases in the weeks ahead.
If your child seems unwell or is presenting with a high temperature or Covid like symptoms, I would ask that you follow the government's current advice in relation to testing before sending him/her to school. Due to the rapid transmission of the Omicron variant in the community at present, it will be even more difficult this term to prevent infections from spreading through classrooms. As I mentioned in a previous message, if teachers become ill, it will be very difficult to source replacements at short notice.
We as a school fully understand the role that we play in supporting families that need childcare. We will continue do all in our power to make sure that we remain open for face to face lessons in a safe environment and thank you for your continued support in maintaining healthy classrooms.
