We had Matilda, Mario and Harry Potter; The Midnight Gang and even Bruce Bogtrotter!
Such an array of uplifting characters were on show in St Malachy's Primary School today!
If there's one day in the school calendar that brings a smile to all our faces, it's World Book Day!!!
The costumes this year were as colourful as ever and the pupils really enjoyed listening to stories and reading extracts from their chosen books.
By all accounts, the future of literacy is safe in Ballymoyer! We have some budding English teachers among our Key Stage 2 pupils!!! They read to the younger classes today until their eyes went square! It was a treat to listen to the levels of enthusiasm and expression in their voices!
Well done to all our pupils and a huge word of thanks to our parents and guardians who had a very busy morning painting little ones faces! Roald Dahl would be smiling!!!
