St Malachy's Primary School was inspected in January 2018 by the ETI for Northern Ireland.
The inspection focused on the quality of provision which the school provides, the outcomes for learners, and the quality of leadership and management.
- Parents/Carers and Staff responded to an online anonymous survey.
- Pupils exercise books were analysed and teaching lessons were observed.
- Pupils, Governors and School Leaders were interviewed by the inspection team.
- A range of data was studied which demonstrated the standards pupils were achieving in comparison to others throughout Northern Ireland.
The Inspection Findings confirmed:
- The Pupils Standards were VERY GOOD.
- The levels of Teaching and Learning were VERY GOOD.
- The Quality of Leadership and Management was VERY GOOD.
- The Levels of Safeguarding and Child Protection are the Highest within the Inspection Framework.
- The School's Overall Level of Effectiveness was the TOP Level achievable within the Inspection Framework.
As a school, we recognise that our performance is a shared responsibility. This current inspection report recognises the work of our whole school community: Pupils, Parents, Staff, Governors and Parish.
